Child Protection Course - Wednesday 28th March

Child ProtectionMoynalvey GFC is obliged to ensure that all managers/coaches/mentors/administrators/first aiders involved with teams that include any players under the age of 18 understand their personal obligations with respect to the protection of children in the club.

The club is running a Child Protection Course in the GAA Centre on Wednesday March 28th at 7pm sharp.

All underage mentors and individuals involved in the upcoming Feile MUST attend this course!!

Attendees who successfully complete this course will be aware of the processes in place to safeguard children in the club and will be aware of their own responsibilities to ensure the safeguards are effective in our club environment.

Completion of the Child Protection Course is mandatory for all mentors. There can be no exceptions.

Easter Football Training Camp

Easter Camp 1The club are running a 3 day Easter Football Training Camp on April 3rd, 4th and 5th.

U-8's, U-10's and U-12's will train daily from 10am to 11:30am.
The u13's through to u17's will train from 11:30 to 1pm.

Cillian O’ Sullivan as coaching officer will oversee and coordinate.

Cost per child is €15 and €10 per child if more than one in family attending. (Nursery kids excluded)

Kids need to be registered and membership paid before participating as they won’t be insured!


Feile Fundraising Table Quiz / Membership Evening - Friday 23rd March

Juv. Quiz PosterAlongside our Feile fundraising table quiz that happens in Moynalvey hall this Friday evening for 9-14 year olds, we are going to do our registration and membership payment too for those who have not done it online yet (top right hand side of the club website). 

We will also chat to any parents getting involved with hosting kids for our upcoming Feile 2018, to get them registered etc. 

Can we all make a big effort to make it to the club and support quiz fundraiser.

J West Feile Peil na nOgThe draw for the 2018 John West Féile Peile na nÓg where counties will find out who will be their host clubs for the competition is set to take place on Wednesday 28th March at 5.00pm.

People will be able to see the draw online at and on the Feile Facebook Page

Meath Co. Board have issued  aFulkl Round by Round break down of the 2018 Club Football & Hurling Championship Draws.

Our Senior Team commence with an opening round ties against Wolfe Tones, followed by Ratoath, St. Colmcilles, Rathkenny & St. Patricks.

Meanwhile our Junior B Team will face Nobber in their Championship opener, followed by a Bye, then Na Fianna, St. Patricks and Simonstown Gaels.

Want to work as a Cúl Camp Coach this Summer?

Meath GAA are now looking for coaches to apply to work the camps during the summer months. If you know of any coach/coaches interested:
  •  - All coaches must have Foundation Course and Child of Best Practice Course completed.
  •  - All coaches must be Garda Vetted.
  •  - All coaches must be 18 years + to work at a camp.

Young Whistler Course - Wed April 4th

Meath Coaching &Games will be running a Young Whistler course during the Easter holidays on Wed April 4th.
All clubs :  please notify U16, U17,U19  boys & girls teams in your club.   Participants should be 15 yrs or older to take part.
The Young Whistler course qualifies you to referee Meath Go Games as set out in Coiste Go Games regulations.

Moynalvey GFC are holding a clothes recycling Fundraiser running up until Wednesday 4th April. 

Bags of clothes may be dropped to the GAA Centre during any training session or games at the pitch.
