Donal Smith removebg previewMoynalvey maintained winning ways in Div. 3 of the Reserve Cup with a convincing win over Dunderry at Moynalvey on Tuesday evening September 6th.

Moynalvey 3-10
Dunderry 0-5

Three wins along with a pair of walkovers see Moynalvey top Group A of the Division 3 Reserve Cup with a maximum ten points.

Moynalvey set the tone early on in this game with Donal Smith scoring 1-1 in the opening three minutes. The home side’s lead was extended to five points three minutes later when Vinny Walsh split the uprights.

Dunderry opened their account in the ninth minute with a pointed mark from Isaac McKeever which was soon followed by a free from Dermot Kelly to leave the goal between the sides with 11 minutes played, 1-2 to 0-2.

Moynalvey went on to add a trio of points before the half time whistle, two from Vinny Walsh and one from Ciaran Harnan to leave the score board read 1-6 to 0-2 at the break.

Dunderry rarely tested Moynalvey goalkeeper Chris O’Malley but one excellent second half save denied Dunderry any chance of a goal.

The second half was more of the same from Moynalvey outscoring their opponents 2-4 to 0-3 to run out comfortable fourteen point winners on a 3-10 to 0-5 score line.
