Second Junior B FC loss from as many outings

Moynalvey suffered their second loss from ss many outings in the Junior B Football Championship when going down to Duleek/Bellewstown at Ratoath on Sunday afternoon April 21st.

Right from the off Moynalvey left themselves under pressure with the concession of 1-2 within the opening four minutes, 1-1 of that within the opening 90 seconds.

Matt Brennan opened Moynalvey's account in the 5th minute which was followed by a Ciaran Harnan point, leaving it 1-2 to 0-2 after six minutes.

A second Duleek/Bellewstown goal came in the 7th minute from Steven Nolan. Ciaran Harnan replied with a point for Moynalvey before Duleek/Bellewstown points from Warren Cudden and Karl Reilly.

Moynalvey points from Robert Keane and James Kelly before Duleek/Belkewstown scored a third goal in the 19th minute left it 3-4 to 0-5.

James Kelly points either side of Duleek/Bellewstown points from Steven Nolan and Warren Cudden left the score board reading 3-6 to 0-7 at half time.

Nolan added another free to his account three minutes after the break. Moynalvey immediately replied with a well taken goal from Conor Shirren, which was followed five minutes later by a Shaun Deering point, leaving two goals between the sides eight minutes into the 2nd half, 3-7 to 1-7.

Just as Moynalvey were building momentum they suffered the setback of the concession of a fourth goal in the 42nd minute. Moynalvey responded with a James Kelly free and an Andrew Jackson goal.

Two points from substitute Brian Conneely left just two between the sides with five minutes remaining. Moynalvey failed to close the gap and two more Duleek/Bellewstown points saw them claim the win by four points, 4-9 to 2-11.
