Meath GAA - Fixture Planner - July to Beginning of November 2018

E-mail Print PDF
Meath GAA have issued the attached Issue 3 of the Master Fixture Planner. As noted please assume that if a fixture is shown as occurring on the Sunday of a particular weekend, games may be played in the period Thurs-Monday of that particular weekend.
Meath CCC has used their best judgement and endeavours to arrive at this schedule of fixtures. However, as our Championships may throw up clashes we reserve the right to change fixtures, from that shown on the Master Planner, in the best interest of GAA in Meath. Fixture Planner: July to November 2018
As you will understand, having studied the Planner, there will be a congestion of fixtures. This is partly due to the re-structure of national fixtures, together with Meath clubs having to play in Round 1 of the respective Leinster Club Football Championships. As a result Meath CCC will not, as a rule, grant permission for any change of fixture, once the fixture has been made.

Meath CCC would also like to point out that dual players will be impacted most by the congestion of fixtures. Player welfare is the responsibility of clubs and not Meath CCC. If a club considers that a player is receiving too much game time, the club shall decide if the player should be rested.

Meath CCC wish all clubs the best of luck as they undertake the latter stages of their championship and request each clubs co-operation in playing games when fixed.

There is very little float, if any, in the calendar so games must go ahead when fixed.
