Moynalvey registered their first win of 2010 in Division 3 of the B league when overcoming Dunshaughlin with four points to spare in Kilmore Park Moynalvey on Monday evening May 10th.
Moynalvey 1-14 Dunshaughlin 2-7

Moynalvey started the sharper of the two sides racing into a five point lead through scores from Ciaran Collins (0-4) and Shane McGann. However Dunshaughlin drew matters level in the 21st minute, registering 1-2 in the space of three minutes. The remainder of the half was a tight affair, with Moynalvey ahead at the break on a score line of 0-8 to 1-4 following points from Alan Donnelly (0-2) and Ray Ryan.

After the break the sides were once again tied as Dunshaughlin levelled matters in the 38th minute. However Moynalvey pulled two points clear with two converted frees from Collins and Ryan in the following four minutes. Brian Conneely gave the home side a three point lead at the three quarter mark. A series of wayward efforts from Moynalvey allowed their opponents the opportunity to ghost in for a goal in the 50th minute and steal the lead for only the second time in the game. The lead was short lived as within two minutes Collins found the net from close range to give Moynalvey a two point cushion once again. The combination of a point from substitute Stephen Cummins and the accurate place kicking of Ray Ryan (0-2) resulted in the home side holding on for a four point win.
