Moynalvey relinquished their unbeaten run in Division 3 of the B league when taking a disappointing goal bashing from Ballinabrackey, at Kilmore park on Thursday 4th June.

.

Moynalvey 1-5 Ballinabrackey 5-2

.

While Moynalvey were missing several regulars & lost Ciaran Collins through injury, there can be no excuse for the concession of so many goals. The home side got off to the worst possible start when they fell a goal behind to a converted penalty in the 3rd minute. Shane Collins opened the scoring for the hosts when converting a free kick in the 5th minute, only for Ballinabrackey to add their second goal 6 minutes later. Collins added another free, before P.J Walsh kicked Moynalveys third point at the death of the half. A series of missed opportunities in the half left Moynalvey trailing by 2-0 to 0-3 at the interval.

.

Upon the restart, Moynalvey narrowed the gap to the minimum with points from Walsh & substitute Ennis. However, Ballinabrackey kicked on to post the next 2-2 putting the game out of Moynalveys reach. Moynalvey eventually raised a green flag of their own when things were too late with a goal from David Durkan. Ballinabrackey added a fifth goal at the death to leave the final score line reading 5-2 to 1-5.
