It's clear to see there was only one team up for this contest on Wednesday evening last in sunny Simonstown where Moynalvey came up second best against the strong athletic Navan team.

Simonstown 6-10 Moynalvey 0-6

Nobody coulsd take away from Simonstown's win as they showed why they took the junior championship accolade last year. They moved the ball quicker and had more precision movement on the ball. Moynalvey with their never say die attitude fought until the very end but with Kelly Harris and Naoise De Graff with a brace of goals, a win for the away side never looked on the cards. Best for Moynalvey on the night were Nicola Murphy, Aideen Smith and Celine Harnan.

Moynalvey: M. Conneely, C. Mallee, A. Smith, M. McCabe, C. Donoghue, E. Conneely (0-1), K. Lawless, T. Smith, N. Murphy (0-1), J. Mc Loughlin, A. Weston, J. Moriarty, O. Hegarty, C. Harnan (0-4), R. Pender
