Moynalvey 3-15 Dunboyne 1-7

HT: Moynalvey 1-5 Dunboyne 0-3

Moynalvey opened the game very lively with a high ball in from Eileen Conneely which resulted in Helena Dowd kicking the ball into the back of the Dunboyne net. Dunboyne responded by adding a point on the board but with hard work from Ciara Donoghue, Abbey Killalea and Rachel Pender in the Moynalvey forward line resulted in Moynalvey having a 5 point cushion going in at half time.

Dunboyne started strong in the second half resulting in a goal for the visiting team. It was a 2 point game and all to play for. The introduction of Louise Donoghue at half time was a big boost for Moynalvey, creating scoring chances for the home side and also scoring a tally of 5 points. With two additional goals from Ciara Donoghue ensuring there was no way back for Dunboyne. There was also well taken points from Rachel Lawless, Abbey and Aoife Weston. Hard work from the Moynalvey defence especially Kate Lawless and Ailise Smith kept the Dunboyne forwards quiet only conceding only four points in the rest of the second half.
