U-14 GIRLS QUALIFY FOR FINAL!!!

This group of under 14 ladies sure know how to get the heart rates of the spectators going.

In what can only be described as nail biting stuff they put on an outstanding performance of football yesterday evening in their home semi-final against a very strong Ballivor team.

The game commenced with a goal and a point from our opposition. This did not deter our young ladies and at half time the score board read Moynalvey 3-01 Ballivor 2-05.

Ballivor came back fighting after the break and had a 4 point lead on us. Moynalvey were not willing to give up. With no score so far in the second half for our girls, the deficit was narrowed by two points, the score board now reading Moynalvey 3-03 Ballivor 2-08. With only 5 minutes to go, and trailing by 2 points Moynalvey took the lead – an outstanding 2 goals and a point scored, to secure victory and book Moynalvey's place in the under 14 Final.

Fantastic play by the whole team. Final Score Moynalvey 5-04 Ballivor 2-08.

They now meet Dee Rangers in the Final – time and venue TBC. Well done to the girls and their coaching team, Fintan Mac Mahon, Ciara Mac Mahon and Vinny Walsh.
