Jenkinstown Gaels played Clonard/Longwood under light in Longwood in this opening round Of the U-17 Div. 5 League.

A tight match which could have gone either way. Plenty of good shifts put in with some excellent scores.

Caragh O'Brien, Dillon Cranley, Eoghan Curley, Cillian O'Sullivan and Cameron Gallagher all put in strong performances. David Brennan was excellent in goals with some superb saves. Ciaran Harnan finished off the Jenkinstown scoring with a crucial goal in the second half.

Pity the opposition could only field 12 players as it put pressure on us to get our 19 lads out on the pitch. We were missing a few strong players so hopefully onwards and upwards.
