Meath Local Sports Partnership - Covid-19 Activity Update

As the Coronavirus COVID-19 restrictions continue, our aim in Meath Local Sports Partnership is to continue supporting responsible sport and physical activity participation while minimising the spread of COVID-19 and adhering to the most recent guidelines from the HSE on social distancing and outdoor activities.

We understand the challenges which this request presents to both our mental and physical health. Keeping active not only has physical benefits but plays a huge role in maintaining good positive mental health.

We have developed a wide range of activities & games which will suit all ages and abilities. There really is something there for everyone!

Online Dance Classes

Dance yourself fit with our new Online Dance Class! Learn a fully choreographed dance routine in one week! 

Our qualified dance tutor Aisling Rountree will lead you through a step by step tutorial for the song "We’re all in this together" from the hit movie 'HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL'! This amazing dance tutorial will make it easy for you to learn the complete dance routine in one week. This programme is suitable for teens and adults! 

This dance programme is broken down into four segments and Youtube video links will be sent on Wednesday 27th May, Friday 29th May, Monday 1st June & Wednesday 3rd June. You can view the links at a time that suits you best!

It's fun and a great way to keep fit. Remember dancing makes us happy!

0-3k Walk/Jog/Run PODCAST Programme

Our new 6 week 0 to 3k (podcast) programme started on Monday 11th May. It’s not too late to sign up! The programme has proven very popular so far with over 340 participants taking part each week!

If you have always wanted to run but didn’t know where to start, this is just the programme for YOU!! Our tutor Andrea McGuinness will TALK you through 3 sessions each week and bring you from walking to jogging with relative ease. This programme is designed for complete beginners with a step by step guide making it easy to follow and fun to complete. Andrea will be taking part in each session with you leading you through the entire programme to achieve your goal.

This programme is FREE and once you register with us you will receive your podcast three times a week to complete at a time that suits you. Please adhere to the 5km restrictions.

Meath Running Group – PODCAST Programme

Meath Local Sports Partnership are delighted to announce Meath Running Group Podcast Programme is starting Wednesday 20th Maywith our tutor Cailin McDonagh.

The Podcast programme is ideal for those wishing to complete 5 miles up to half and full marathon distances. The weekly podcast for runners (18+) will focus on speed and middle distance training sessions. Cailin will talk you through the full running session and will give tips on what your weekly running sessions should include. The 6 week programme is FREE and you will need to register before the start date.
