Code of Behaviour (Underage)
This is the link to the newly launched Code of Behaviour (Underage) and I would request that you forward the link to whoever may be in charge of your website seeking that they upload the code and display it in a prominent place on the website.
A major emphasis on the Code of Behaviour is being placed by the GAA for the commencement of the new Club year and we ask you to do likewise.

County Children's Officers should be familiar with the contents of the Code and should encourage each Club to upload it, without amendment, on to their own Club websites.
There is no need whatsoever for a Club to go writing their own Code. We have a Code agreed between each of the Gaelic Games Associations and that is the Code as referred to in rule.
If a case is taken regarding a breach of a Club Code as opposed to the Gaelic Games Associations' Code it cannot be taken as per the guidance for Dealing with Breaches of the Code of Behaviour as that document is drafted  solely in the context of the Gaelic Games Associations' Code.
Please inform your Clubs that the revised Code contains a new legally proofed Child/Youth Membership form, the contents of which Clubs are advised to use in 2019.
Any changes to the Code during the year will appear on through the above link.

See below listed documents circulated to County Children's Officers for circulation to clubs at a recent Child Safeguarding Information Seminar held on November 3rd.
