Please find attached planner to complete our Championships for 2017 (please note an excel version will be emailed over the next few days and a copy will also be uploaded on the Meath GAA website). CCC An Mhí ask all Clubs respect this and make arrangements to the best of their ability around it. So far in 2017 we have had only 1 enforced change in the planner released in January.
While plans can change due to circumstances beyond our control we will endeavor to stick with this plan to the best our of ability.
We must be mindful of our U18 and U21 Hurlers who will play in the All Ireland B competition in August and Clubs with squad members will be facilitated with possibly mid week games.
Clubs are reminded CCC An Mhi cannot grant any free weekends under any circumstances and also wish to remind Clubs that Final Rounds of both League and Championships in games that have a bearing on finishing positions these games by rule must be play simultaneously.
As can be seen despite using every possible date since Late January 2017 and only losing 1 Weekend to weather, we are slightly behind schedule in our Competitions as we aim to have our Championships finished in time for Leinster Club Competition.
CCC An Mhí wish clubs the very best in their ambitions for the rest of 2017 and are confident that Clubs will use this latest Plan to ensure a smooth completion of our games
- 1.Preliminary Quarter Finals in all Football Championship will be played on Hurling weekend if Clubs involved are not Dual Clubs.
- 2.All Football League Finals (A &B), Hurling League Finals and Knock Out Competition Finals will be played as opportunities arise, as will as League Promotion/Relegation Playoffs.
- 3.Championship Relegation Playoffs Hurling and Football will follow similar dates to Preliminary Quarter Finals, Quarter Finals etc in that code other than when non dual Clubs involved.
- 4.Junior B & C Football Championship may follow JFC dates but with Preliminary Quarter Final and/or Quarter Finals proper on W/E 27th August, remaining Quarter Finals (if any) and Semi Finals on 10th September and therefore possible Final on 24th September. With no Preliminary Quarter Finals in Junior D Football Championship it would be expected to have a Final Date of 24th September.
- 5.U21 Football and Hurling Competitions will be played as opportunities arise following the progression of other Competitions
- 6.It is planned to have Minor Football and Hurling Championship Finals on Senior Final Dates.
