Moynalvey GFC would like to congratulate club member Louise Donoghue on her fantastic achievement in captaining Athlone IT to Purcell Cup victory after an exciting victory over Mary Immaculate College, Limerick in the final played at the Gaelic grounds in Limerick on Sunday, February 15th.
Louise inspired her Athlone IT team to a very hard fought but deserved win over the Limerick side in a cracking final contest, coming out victorious by 3-13 to 2-10 after extra time. They also had a real battle in the semi final on Saturday beating Tralee IT by a point. This was a great achievement by Louise and she was also selected on the combined colleges team of the weekend.
Well done Louise on a great achievement from all at Moynalvey GFC.
