Moynalvey's fantastic Junior A championship victory last Sunday brought great excitement and joy to Moynalvey supporters both at home in Moynalvey/Kiltale parish and to exiles all over the globe.

Paul Conneely displays his Moynalvey colours and a message of congratulations from South Island, New Zealand

Pat Moran from Geelong, Australia was first in with his congratulations after the game with the message "Great win. Moynalvey people around the world are proud of you". Russ & Kath (relations of Eddie Thornton) wished the club all the best from Gloucester, England. Paul Conneely, current player who is away travelling for the year could hardly contain his excitement during the game posting the message "come on lads. listening to lmfm here in new zealand. please god ye do it. best of luck". On hearing of our victory, Paul rushed out to the nearest beach (see photo above) and wrote his message of congratulations in the sand "Moynalvey Junior Champs 08".

Kiltale Hurling and Camogie Club also congratulated the club and all the players, the majority of whom will do battle in the Senior hurling championship semi final V Kildalkey next Sunday. Our neighbours and great rivals Summerhill also forwarded a message of congratulations whilst the club even got a mention on Martin King's weather forecast on TV3 on Monday night!!

Well done to all concerned on a great achievement and best of luck for the Leinster campaign.
