Moynalvey had an easy win over a struggling Walterstown in this Junior 'B' Championship game played at a rain sodden Paddy O'Brien Park on Monday night 26th June.

Moynalvey 3-12
Walterstown 0-8

Having lost out to St. Patrick's by a point in their first Junior 'B' championship outing, Moynalvey picked up their first two points of their group campaign with a thirteen point win over Walterstown.

The two points on offer were secured by half time as the men in maroon & white led Walterstown 3-8 to 0-1 at the break, with the Blacks' solitary first half point coming from full forward Ronan Barry.

Seven minutes after the restart things looked even bleaker for Walterstown as three more Moynalvey points without reply extended their advantage to 19 points.

Walterstown did out score the winners 0-7 to 0-1 in the final 20 minutes to leave a small bit of respectability on the full time score line of 3-12 to 0-8.
