Moynalvey suffered their second heavy defeat in succession when going down at the hands of St. Vincent’s in this Junior ‘B’ Championship Group A Round 3 game played at Ratoath on Thursday evening 28th July.

Moynalvey 0-3 St. Vincent’s 1-14

The first score of the game didn’t arrive until the 13th minute when Moynalvey midfielder Dominic O’Brien pointed, however this was as good as it got for the men in maroon and white (with St. Vincent’s wearing their changed white strip due to a clash of colours), as they would fail to register again before the half time whistle. St. Vincent’s score 1-5, with corner forward Richie O’Sullivan grabbing the goal to lead 1-5 to 0-1 at half time.

John Donoghue & Sean Duggan pointed each side of a Vincent’s brace from Robbie Lynch & Kieron Collins to leave it 1-7 to 0-3 after 50 minutes, Duggan’s point proving to be Moynalvey’s last of the game. The Ardcath men added another seven points before the full time whistle to record an emphatic 14 point win leaving them unbeaten and joint top of the table.
