Moynalvey’s second string suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Dunderry on a 2-18 to 0-5 score line in the Seamus Conolly Catering Junior ‘B’ Football Championship at Kilmessan on Friday evening April 26th.

Moynalvey 0-5 Dunderry 2-18

A somewhat make shift Moynalvey side suffered a comprehensive defeat in this round 2 Junior ‘B’ Championship Fixture. While Shaun Deering opened the scoring for the men in maroon and white in the 5th minute that was as good as it got for Moynalvey. Dunderry held a 1-7 to 0-2 lead at half time, with Fearghal McCabe registering Moynalvey’s other score in the opening half.

By the time midfielder Phillip Garvey sent over Moynalvey’s third point of the evening in the 35th minute, Dunderry were 10 points to the good, 1-10 to 0-3. The second half was merely a practice shooting session for the men in black and white as they clocked up a further 1-8 before the full time whistle. Two more Moynalvey points from Ger Fagan and McCabe left the final score reading a disappointing 2-18 to 0-5 in favour of the Dunderry men.
