Leading from the off, Moynalvey were never in any danger and this victory means Moynalvey remain top of the league going into June.

Moynalvey opened the scoring with points from Willie Byrne, David Donoghue, Cathal Sheridan, Damian Dixon and James Weldon and scored the games first goal after a move involving Sheridan, Brian Conneely and Ger Fagan was flicked to the net by Weldon. John Donoghue added a second well worked goal to give Moynalvey an 8 point interval lead and it could have been worse for Bective as great goal chances from Byrne and Weldon were also spurned in this opening 30 minutes.

The second half was more of the same as Moynalvey reeled off another 9 points as well as a second goal for John Donoghue to ease to a comfortable victory.
