Moynalvey launched a second half comeback to secure a late one point victory over Dunsany in this A league game played in Moynalvey on Holy Thursday.

Moynalvey 2 - 6 Dunsany 0 - 11

Dunsany dominated the opening half as Moynalvey started very slowly and only a well taken PJ Walsh goal meant Moynalvey trailed by 1 - 3 to 0 - 8 at the break. Moynalvey's first half points came from Ciaran Ennis, John Donoghue and a long range Ger Fagan effort.

Some stern words at the break from manager PJ Cummins resulting in a different Moynalvey side emerging for the second half. However, despite dominating possession for the vast majority of the second thirty minutes, some very poor shooting meant Moynalvey only actually drew level with ten minutes to go when Ciaran Ennis finished off an excellent move. Some more bad wides followed before substitute Cathal Sheridan kicked a superb point from fifty yards to secure victory.

Best for a Moynalvey side who will have to improve both their shooting and first half performance for the championship were Padraig, Stephen, John and David Donoghue, Paul Weldon, Damien Dixon and Ennis.
